French enamelled sugar canister

Antique French enamelled sugar canister in a wonderfully soft ombré blue finish, beautifully detailed with elegant italic lettering reading “Sucre” to the front. The fading tones and classic typography give it a timeless French country charm, making it a lovely decorative shelf or kitchen piece.
The lid fits nicely, and the canister displays honest age-related wear, including enamel chipping and areas of rust staining, all of which add to its authentic rustic character. Whilst originally intended for sugar storage, it is perhaps now best suited as a decorative piece or for alternative storage uses.
