French wire cockle basket

Gorgeous rustic French wire basket that is traditionally used to collect cockles, mussles etc along the shores of Brittany. Through this constant use the paint has worn away in a soft romantic way. The sea salt has caused some of the wire to show rust through the paint and helped to bleach the wood of the handle, peaks of the original pretty yellow paint show all over the basket.
