Cadbury's packing box
Edwardian Cadbury's packing box, originally used at the manufacturing site to package and transport chocolate to retailers. As these practical boxes were typically discarded after use, surviving examples such as this are becoming increasingly scarce, making it a wonderful piece of early advertising and packaging history.
The original Cadbury's label remains in lovely condition, with very little fading or damage, adding greatly to its appeal and authenticity. There is a small area of loss to one of the long edges of the box, most likely caused when it was originally opened, but this does little to detract from its charm and story.
Measuring 25cm x 20cm x 8cm, this attractive box is not only decorative but wonderfully practical too. Perfect for storing seed packets, postcards, sewing threads, photographs or all manner of treasured bits and pieces.
A lovely survivor from the Edwardian era and a charming addition to a kitchen, study, craft room or collection of vintage advertising memorabilia.
