Japanese Lacquered box

Lovely detailed Japanese lacquered wooden box, painted with birds hearts and flowers. Greek Key design around the top of the base. The key hole has a pretty escutcheon. Lock intact though no key available.
There is a fair amount of damage and chips to the lacquere as pictured, all adds to the age of the piece and part of its history.
