Pair C1800s Copeland soup bowls

A beautiful pair of 19th-century Copeland soup bowls, dating from the Victorian era and displaying the influence of the Aesthetic Movement with their elegant brown and white design. The warm, earthy tones sit perfectly within a neutral interior scheme, making these bowls as attractive today as they were over a century ago.
Originally part of a larger dinner service, these generous bowls would have been intended for serving soup, but their versatile size makes them equally suited to salads, pasta dishes, rice bowls or even a contemporary Buddha bowl.
As with many well-loved antique ceramics, there is some age-related wear. One bowl displays crazing to the glaze with slight discolouration, while the other has a hairline crack. Neither issue detracts from their decorative appeal or practical use.
