Beautiful 1930s Japanese black lacquer photograph album, exquisitely detailed with hand-painted silk illustrations. The glossy lacquered cover features an atmospheric rickshaw scene, rich in character and craftsmanship typical of the period. Inside, the binding remains in good order, with decorative frames throughout and striking green marbled page edges adding to its elegance.
There is some age-related wear, including a small loss to the lacquer on the front cover and minor damage to the shell inlay, both consistent with its age and use. Despite this, it remains a wonderfully decorative and collectible piece with a strong presence.
