Antique confectionary jar

Antique confectionery jar retaining its original Brown Bros Superior Confectionary, Colne label, dating from the 1920s–30s. The label shows some expected fading and areas of damage commensurate with age, but this only adds to the quirky originality and authentic character of the piece.
The glass itself is in excellent condition, free from chips or cracks, and remains wonderfully clear. Both the inner edge of the jar and the outer edge of the stopper have been beautifully ground to create a tight seal, demonstrating the quality craftsmanship of the period.
Measuring 24.5cm in height with a base diameter of 10.5cm, this is a handsome and practical piece with plenty of decorative appeal.
A lovely collectible item for enthusiasts of vintage advertising and shop display pieces, whilst also being highly usable for storing sweets, biscuits, kitchen ingredients or a multitude of household treasures.
