"Balance" by Carole Sheldrake. Interesting sculpture  of a female torso/dress in clay with a metalic copper tones glaze, achieved with a raku firing. The form is mounted on a wooden block which has the artist initials stamped in metal on.
Carole Sheldrake lives and works in Hastings, and studied at Brighton University, she makes individual figurative ceramic mixed media sculpture either for the wall or plinth.
This piece is 15cm high, 22cm wide, the base plinth is a 9cm block

I do not have a specific style. Instead, I buy an eclectic mix of what catches my interest. I appreciate the workmanship and quality in antique and vintage items. Every item speak to you, making you wonder about their past, and who cared for them before you.
