Vintage cake tin

Rather lovely vintage c1940/50s aluminium cake tin, with a hasp and staple so you could put a lock on the tin to keep the cake tin raiders out!! On the lid there is an attractive handle , the tin is engraved in a floral leaf boarder all the away around and also on the lid. Would be a perfect gift for a baker or to fill with homemade cake and present as a gift. The base and lid both have a stamp of "Pure Aluminium The crown" and a Crown in the centre; suggesting it was considered a quatility item at the time of production as it was approved by the royal household. It is dented through use and the aluminium has the faded bloom to it, common with vintage aluminium, all these little imperfections all add to the charm of the piece and its history.
