French carved leaf platter

This French wooden carved Oak leaf is 40.5cm long 23.5cm wide 4cm deep. It has a acorn on either side of the stem and evidence of the carving with chisel marks. At sme point in its life is has had a touch of woodworm which has been irradicated, this does not affect the item but adds to the patina and age of the item and not uncommon in vintage and antique items. The finish is a dark wood stain and polish.
